The BC Centre for Ability has been serving children, youth and adults with disabilities and their families throughout British Columbia since 1969. The BCCFA prides itself on using evidence based interventions to provide services to clients in their own homes and in the communities they live in. The Centre builds strong partnerships with families, following the principles of family and person-centred practice to empower persons with disabilities, enhancing their abilities to fully participate in all aspects of community life.
Programs delivered by the Centre ranges from infancy to adulthood, including early intervention therapy, social emotional programs, short-term acute brain injury rehabilitation, supported child development and vocational services.
With your support of the 2017 BC Centre for Ability Hot Chocolate Run, the Centre will continue to grow, develop and enhance its programs to better serve the needs of its clients and their families, building capacity to embrace an inclusive community that values the contributions of every citizen.

TRY EVENTS registration age discounts:
Children age 15 and under receive a $15 discount (5K or 10K distances only and must run with a paid guardian)
Youth age 16 to 19 receive a $10 discount
Seniors age 65 and over receive a $10 discount
The 10.4k Route circles Stanley Park's Seawall once, and the 5k is an out & back. (10.4k route subject to change with new Venue)

Vancouver's first park and one of the city's main tourist attractions, Stanley Park is an evergreen oasis of 400 hectares (1,000 acres) close to the downtown core. Its natural west coast atmosphere offering a back drop of majestic cedar, hemlock and fir trees, embraces visitors and transports them to an environment rich in tranquility. The park, abundant with wildlife and its features appeal to the naturalist, the plant lover or anyone who wants to do nothing more than relax in beautiful surroundings. The main entrance to the park is at the west end of Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver. Use the form on the right to get directions to the park from wherever you live.

Race package pick-up
As a final option we will have a race day pick up service, for this service we will hire more staff to accommodate people that want to pay $5 for the service. Please email email@example.com, in subject place put in race name and pick up service so it gets filed correctly. Example: Chilly Chase pick up service. In the content please provide your full name and distance, You will need to arrive at least 45minutes early on race morning and go to the TRY EVENTS table.
No same day package pick up without signing up for the above extra service. Please arrange to attend the listed package pick up locations during the times posted. We do not mail out packages. Remember when it is late registration sizing is first come first serve but we always have lots of supplies the first couple days.
*Once the race starts all left over supplies that have not been picked up will be available for size exchanges, for sale and/or donated.

Random Draw Prizes:
Once you cross the start line, your name will be entered into a random draw prize listing. A computer generates a random list of names and draw prizes are then given out to these participants at the finish line, right after your chip is removed. Please visit the table next to the finish line to check if you won one of our numerous draw prizes!
Attach the timing tag to your shoe laces using zaps provided. After your race please return timing tag to avoid being charged $40 If you still have your timing tag please mail it to the address on the tag.Click here to view tag on shoe
